Another interesting article: ‘Locked to the Sun and Moon’: The startling 1960s theory that Stonehenge was a prehistoric computer

I use Dave Winer’s Drummer for writing this blog as well as doing some cool scripting. I was a huge fan and big user of Dave’s Userland Frontier which he and Jake Savin are currently porting to modern OSes codenamed Atlantis. I am really looking forward to seeing it in the wild.

This is one of the coolest projects I have ever seen being both a Raspberry Pi fan and a musician! It’s called Halfmoon Chimes. Check out the article here. Watch the video here.

I’ve been watching the increase in people creating cool gadgets using the Waveshare ESP32-S3 1.8inch AMOLED Touch Display so I finally broke down and ordered one! I used to do a lot of “physical computing” with all kinds of microcontrollers including Arduino and many from Adafruit.com. And of course I have worked with a lot of Raspberry Pi projects but it’s a “single board computer” not a microcontroller. I loved working with the hardware but have gotten away from it with all of the AI work I have been getting involved with some of my consulting clients. Check out this search on Twitter for ESP32-S3 and you’ll see how interest has ramped up with these gadgets. Mine will be arriving in about 10 days hopefully! Can’t wait!

We lost our internet and all of the other services supplied by Comcast for about 4 hours last evening. The wicked storms we had on Thursday seemed to have caused damages in their network. Not sure why it took 2 days for the impact to hit our neighborhood.
