Through a series of articles on Medium, I have slowly started understanding the Pydantic AI agents' platform. Very interesting!

I finally figured out how to change the selected text color in Zed! They actually have a pretty slick way to override default settings for a theme once I figured out where it was documented.

Started looking at the Zed editor late yesterday and find it quite interesting. My only struggle is figuring out how to show what text is currently selected in a brighter color so I can actually see the selection.

My family had a wonderful Mother’s Day yesterday that included bike riding around the city and dinner at the Sly Fox! My wife really enjoyed her day!

Today is the beautiful start of a week of mid-70s temps and for the most part, sunny and dry weather. ☀️

Chilly start to the day, and from what I heard, it’s not going to be very warm the rest of the day. The joys of spring in Pittsburgh! 😃

We discovered last night that the company that replaced our roof 14 years ago took a lot of shortcuts that we were unaware of, and now it appears we will need to get a new roof once again. Very disgusted at the moment!

Back to focusing on Pydantic AI and Model Context Protocol (MCP), which is what started me chasing down the Marimo rabbit hole. 😄

I do have this bad habit where I find something new and shiny (Marimo) that I tend to go down a rabbit hole until I finally realize I’m wasting my time. Sigh.

After doing some more experimenting with Marimo, I decided it wasn’t a good fit for what I’m trying to accomplish with Pydantic AI agents. I’m probably going to go back to using Gradio if I require some sort of UI for an agent.

Last night I started exploring Marimo as both a replacement for my Jupyter notebooks as well as an interface for Pydantic AI agents. More digging to come!

Learned a decent amount about Pydantic AI, but still have a long way to go, feeling comfortable writing agents with the library.

I’m also looking at the possibility of using Marimo notebooks as the interface to my Pydantic AI agents. Stay tuned!

My plan today is to dig deep into Pydantic AI and how I can create agents using a Gradio interface.

My youngest daughter, who owns Zenspire Designs, is doing a show today at the Mt. Lebanon Galleria from 10:00 to 3:00, along with 70+ other vendors.

Duquesne Light (our local electric company) is slowly making a dent in all of the power outages. My daughter’s family got their power back on last night! 😊

Our region is still dealing with power outages from the storm Tuesday evening! Some people may not get power until next week! A house up the street from me was crushed by a tree that was blown over by the 70 MPH wind gusts!

Had a really wicked storm yesterday evening with winds up to 75 MPH and power going off all over the place. Our power only blinked a couple of times, but people less than five minutes away still don’t have power! A beloved pizza place called Fiori’s had its roof blown off! Crazy!

It’s going to be a wild weather day today, with possible severe thunderstorms, hail, and maybe even a tornado watch!

The Maryland grandkids got into town last night and are spending the weekend! Lots of noise and laughter! 😊
